A consent management company should practice what it sells. This policy lists every cookie Cookiesh, Inc. (“Cookiesh”, “we”) sets, and why. It covers our marketing website, our dashboard and the consent script our customers install on their own sites.
This website
This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser’s local storage. It loads no analytics, advertising or social media scripts, and our fonts are self-hosted, so your visit is not shared with any third party.
That is why you do not see a consent banner here: there is nothing to consent to. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first, using our own product.
The Cookiesh dashboard
When you sign in to the dashboard at app.cookiesh.eu, we set only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect your account. These cookies are strictly necessary, so they do not need your consent.
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
ck_session |
Keeps you signed in to the dashboard | 14 days, or until you sign out |
ck_csrf |
Protects forms against cross-site request forgery | Session |
ck_sso_state |
Links a single sign-on request to its response | 10 minutes |
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies in the dashboard. To understand how the product is used, we look at aggregated events processed on our own servers, as described in our privacy policy.
The Cookiesh consent script
When a website uses Cookiesh, our script stores the visitor’s consent choice in one first-party cookie on that website’s own domain:
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
cookiesh_consent |
Remembers the visitor’s consent choice, a random consent ID and the banner version | 6 months by default, configurable by the website owner up to 13 months |
This cookie is strictly necessary for the consent banner to work: without it, the website could not remember a choice to reject. It contains no personal data beyond a random ID. The website that uses Cookiesh is responsible for its own cookie policy and for any other cookies it sets. To change your choice on such a site, use its “Privacy settings” or “Cookie settings” link.
How to control cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the dashboard cookies will stop you from signing in. Blocking cookiesh_consent on a website means the website cannot remember your choice, so it will ask again on every visit.
Most browsers also let you send a Global Privacy Control signal. Websites that use Cookiesh in regions with opt-out rules treat it as a request not to sell or share your data.
Changes to this policy
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this page and its “last updated” date. If we ever add a cookie that needs consent, we will ask for that consent before setting it.
